10Cookies and similar technologies
Why Not Ads uses cookies and similar technologies for different purposes.
Some technologies are strictly necessary for the website to function properly and cannot be switched off.
Other technologies are optional and are used only with your consent.
Necessary technologies
These technologies are required for core website functionality, security and remembering your privacy choices.
They may be used without your consent where this is permitted by applicable law.
For example, we may store your cookie preferences locally on your device so that we can remember the choices you made.
Analytics
With your consent, we may use analytics technologies to understand how visitors use the website and to measure website performance.
These technologies may help us understand information such as:
- which pages are visited;
- how visitors move through the website;
- which parts of the website are used most often;
- whether technical problems occur.
Analytics technologies are not activated unless you consent to the Analytics category.
Advertising
With your consent, we may use advertising and measurement technologies to:
- measure whether our advertising campaigns lead to visits, enquiries or other conversions;
- understand whether visitors arrived through advertising campaigns;
- measure advertising performance;
- build audiences for future advertising;
- support remarketing;
- support personalised advertising, where applicable.
Advertising technologies are not activated unless you consent to the Advertising category.
Google Consent Mode
Where we use Google advertising or measurement services, your consent choices may be communicated to Google through Google Consent Mode.
Depending on your choices, the website may communicate consent signals relating to:
- advertising storage;
- analytics storage;
- advertising user data;
- advertising personalisation.
When you have not given consent for optional categories, the corresponding consent signals remain denied.
Your choices
When you first visit the website, you can:
- Accept all optional technologies;
- Reject non-essential technologies;
- Manage choices and decide separately whether to allow Analytics and Advertising technologies.
Necessary technologies remain active because they are required for the website to function and to remember your privacy choices.
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time by selecting in the website footer.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
How we remember your preference
Your cookie and privacy preferences may be stored locally on your device so that the website can remember your choice.
The stored preference may include:
- the version of the consent settings;
- the date and time of your choice;
- whether Analytics was allowed;
- whether Advertising was allowed.
If we materially change the technologies or purposes covered by the consent system, we may ask you to make a new choice.
Third-party technologies
If optional analytics or advertising providers are added to the website, they may process information in accordance with their own privacy terms and the permissions you have given.
We will update this Privacy Policy when the technologies or providers used on the website materially change.
You can review or change your preferences at any time through in the footer.
11Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse.
No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we limit access to personal information and work with service providers that maintain appropriate security measures.
